Fallout 4 New Vegas is aiming to rebuild the entire New Vegas experience in Fallout 4's Creation Engine. You'll once again be able to explore the Mojave, visit the town of Goodsprings, take part in the second Battle of Hoover Dam & experience content which was cut from the original. If I'm not, then I'm sorry about this and if you could direct me to the appropriate place to post this it would be appreciated.Way back when I was first playing through Fallout 3, I got to Little Lamplight and I noticed the music on my Pip-Boy started to stutter.
Like, there was a brief pause and it would skip ahead in the song. I shrugged it off, thinking it was in-game radio interference but the issue persisted for the rest of my playthrough. In short, it kind of ruined the game for me and I rushed to the end, skipping tons of content because of it. Eventually, this seemed to lead to certain areas in Fallout 3's world causing the game to crawl to a stop and crash.Recently, I decided to boot up Fallout New Vegas, but was heavily disappointed to find that the same music glitch persisted here, as well.
I have tried every suggestion at this page, but there has been absolutely no change at all whatsoever:I also tried every single step of the Complete Fix Guide linked on this sub, but there was still no change at all whatsoever:I also tried creating a symbolic link from my Steam installation directory, as my game is installed in a non-steam directory, as suggested here, but there was no change:I also have a video of this in Fallout 3 here:The only difference is that in New Vegas, instead of the music cutting out before skipping ahead, there's a high-pitched squeak sound that plays. It also affects background ambient music, as well, but not radio DJs such as Mr. New Vegas or NPCs I'm talking to.Any help is greatly appreciated!
